Home Depot, the world’s largest home improvement retailer, is coming to Three Palms at East Ridge with their well-known DIY program.
They are bringing one of their popular building kits on Saturday, August 20 for the gentlemen living at Three Palms.
Representatives from the Cutler Ridge #207 store located at 19400 SW 106th Avenue will be on hand to help as well as East Ridge male personnel and families. They will be hammering, gluing, and painting the bird cages that later will be hung in the community’s courtyard.
“This is such a great opportunity to involve our male residents,” said Ken Gould, East Ridge’s director of community operations. “It was a perfect fit for our East Ridge guys.”
Gould sought out Home Depot, having participated with his son in the company’s Saturday children’s program.
“Our male residents haven’t had an opportunity to build something in years or even have a hammer in their hands. We wanted to have something especially designed for the men—though women certainly aren’t excluded,” he added. “We are thrilled Home Depot would bring their DIY project to Three Palms and support us in this worthwhile endeavor.”
