When East Ridge residents gathered to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the community’s Bark Park; the day was beautiful. The Bark Park has quite a nice history. When Tag Marvel and her husband, Bill, moved to East Ridge in 2001, they wanted a dog park for their high energy fox terrier, “Buddy”. She found a vacant lot, raised money for a fence and the Town Council approved the idea, providing matching funds. Opened in late 2001 and dedicated in 2002; the Bark Park has become a social gather
spot for dog owners and well as for people enjoying its tranquility. This amenity means seniors moving to East Ridge can bring their pets along too.
