Community-Wide Support for Recent East Ridge Pup Fest

May 15, 2017 | News

Pup FestEveryone gathered at the Lifestyle Center for the festivities which were kicked off with a one-mile Pup Crawl. Dogs and their owners along with residents and families meandered through the East Ridge streets to raise money for Paws 4 You Rescue and South Florida Fund for Retired Law Enforcement K-9s.

The event continued with the Miami Dade Police Department enthralling the audience with their trained police bloodhound and German Shepard demonstration and entertainment by Winston Park Middle School dancers.

The dogs seemed to enjoy the attention and special treats while a variety of food trucks offered delicious lunches.

Walking the dog“We are pleased to extend East Ridge hospitality to the Cutler Bay community and offer families an opportunity to see East Ridge. Intergenerational events such as our Pup Fest are so vital in bringing together all ages,” said Amy Sanders, director of marketing for the life plan community. “East Ridge is a pet friendly community and many of our residents thrive from the companionship of a dog or cat, many that have been rescued. Supporting the local pet charities and the K-9 organization was especially meaningful to everyone who attended.”
