Kenneth Cormier, Executive Director
Kenneth “Ken” Cormier is the Executive Director for East Ridge at Cutler Bay and has extensive experience as a Senior Living Community Executive Director, most recently having served as the Executive Director of Indian River Estates in Vero Beach. Additionally, Ken successfully provided leadership and operational direction and management at St. Joseph of the Pines in North Carolina. In addition to his professional experience, Ken holds a Master of Health Care Administration from Tulane University.
Desiree Sebastian, Three Palms Administrator
Desiree Sebastian is the administrator of the Three Palms Health Center.
Mary Scott Russell Director of Community Relations
From an early background in the restaurant and hospitality industry, Mary Scott Russell launched an impressive career in public service. She served as Commissioner, Vice-Mayor, and ultimately Mayor of the City of South Miami. She chaired Informed Families South Miami Coalition and, most recently, served as President and CEO of Chamber South chamber of commerce.
Russell has served on a wide variety of community boards focusing on Miami-Dade County, many of which she has served as a board member and president. She was the 50th president of the Miami Dade League of Cities and the organization’s 4th woman leader. Time and time again, she has been acknowledged with awards and recognitions including receiving Congressional recognition and tribute and being the recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow award.
Russell now draws on her extensive leadership skills and background to develop Community Relations Strategies to promote East Ridge at Cutler Bay. She continues to expand her current relationships and build new ones with civic, cultural, and health-related organizations and companies in Miami-Dade County. She also works closely with the Sales Director and the entire sales team to create greater awareness of East Ridge and its vital role in the community.
Marcos Gonzalez Sales Director
Marcos Gonzalez is the Sales Director for East Ridge at Cutler Bay and previously served as the Assisted Living and Home Health Director.

Miguel Parks Dining Services Director
Miguel Parks was born and raised in Honolulu, HI. He moved to California to attend college and graduated from Menlo College with a bachelor’s degree in business management and a minor in sports management. After graduation, Parks became the Assistant Director of Dining Services for Vi at Palo Alto in Arizona and later the Food and Beverage Director. After four years in Arizona, he then moved to Port Charlotte, Florida and served as the Food and Beverage Director at South Port Square for four years before joining East Ridge at Cutler Bay as the Dining Services Director.
Mariely Jennings Director of Operations
Mariely has been part of our team since 2016 where she began as the Business Office Manager. As the years went by, she became more interested in the operation of East Ridge and began participating in management projects which lead to various renovations around the community and her promotion to Director of Operations.
She initially wanted to become a homicide detective after obtaining a bachelors in Criminal Justice but shifted over to business at Florida International University to continue her studies in search for more opportunity. Two years later, she obtained two Masters’ Degree’s in Business Administration (MBA) and Health Care Management (MSHCM).
Mariely is a first-generation American born in the Bronx, New York after her parents and brother moved to the United States in 1980 from Cuba through the Mariel boatlift. She is the proud mom of a fifteen-year old superstar named Jack. Jack is her main source of inspiration and her number one fan as she is his.

Kiyria Pedroso Jimenez Director of Community Life
Kiyria Pedroso Jimenez is the Director of Community Life at East Ridge at Cutler Bay. She provides oversight, continuity and guidance for the activity programming for residents in our independent, assisted living and memory care communities.
Previously, Jimenez served as a registered dietitian for East Ridge’s Three Palms Health Center. In her new position, she will direct campus-wide activity programs to meet the physical, social, psychological and spiritual needs of residents.
Under her supervision will be East Ridge’s Lifestyle Center, the Wellness and Fitness Center and the community’s salon and spa. She is spearheading innovative volunteer programs including a new intergenerational initiative with Cutler Bay Senior High School as well as those for Three Palms that involve residents and volunteers from the Cutler Bay area
Jimenez has a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and Nutrition and graduated from Florida International University in 2002.
Prior to joining East Ridge, she was with Morrison Healthcare for five years as a Clinical Nutrition Manager. A native of Brazil she grew up in Miami. She is trilingual and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
