The storm has passed and everyone is safe at East Ridge. We had some minor tree limb damage that has been cleaned up. By Friday, all operations will be back to normal.

Updates will be posted to our website and Facebook page as needed.

Thank you!

While Hurricane Ian has strengthened to a category 4 Hurricane and could strengthen to a category 5 Wednesday morning, residents and associates at East Ridge at Cutler Bay are safe and secure.

The worst of the storm is expected to hit the west side of the state and our thoughts and prayers are with residents there, especially those in our sister community in Bonita Springs who are sheltering in place. We expect high winds today at East Ridge and the potential for severe thunderstorms and the potential for the development of a tornado. We had some minor tree damage overnight and are already working to clear debris.

The independent living dining room is closed today. A decision will be made later today regarding independent living dining for Thursday and Friday. Dining remains normal for residents in assisted living, memory support and skilled nursing. There is no on-campus transportation today. There are no plans to evacuate and we still have power. We do have an emergency generator for portions of our Three Palms building if needed.

We continue to monitor the storm closely and will take steps to keep residents and associates safe. We will update you again if and when additional information is available.

Thank you.
